Dixie or Yankee?

My sister sent this link to me. Based on your repsonses to several questions it determines how 'Southern' or 'Yankee' you speak!

My results - "68% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!"

Here's the link. Be sure and post a comment with your results!

Shower invite

My mom is helping to throw a Wedding shower for my cousin so I volunteered to help her out by designing the invites. Her colors are black and red. I learned a few new things in Photoshop while I was doing it. I changed the color of the hearts in Photoshop and 'arched' the text in the hearts. Then brought that image into Memory Mixer and did the rest of the invite in it.

Believe it or not....an unscheduled Saturday

Wow, Saturday and no soccer games or birthday parties. What a surprise! We had lunch with A. Mare and U. Jim and Matthew. He's such a cutie and full of energy! We even went to the Webkinz extravaganza and the kids got to play on the inflatable slide and get a ride on the 'choo choo' train. After that it was a pretty lazy afternoon and evening. A nice family day!

Here's some pics and a couple videos off of my Flip Video camcorder. LOVE that thing!!

Before...and after

I've been working on Paige for the past couple of months to get her hair cut. It's so fine and tangles so easily. Well, we just got back from my stylist's and she has a brand new do!

BEFORE

AFTER

Why didn't I do this months ago???? So cute!!

At first Paige said that she liked it straight because it was tickling her neck, but a few hours later she said she was used to it. I think she really likes it too!

Productive weekend!

On Saturday I vendored at a local crop and had great sales. I even was able to throw away an empty box when I packed up...hooray! A couple more crops and I may be abe to sell out of my remaining TLC inventory. Except for the order I still need to place to use my remaing 3,000 TLC credits....unfortunately I won't get near the product I would have a month ago....grrrrrr. Oh well! At least that means I'll be done selling sooner!

I did have some time to complete a few pages at the crop. See below. I finally got ACDSee set up and have all my digi elements categorized now. All I can say is it's AWESOME!!! and totally changed the way I can scrapbook now. It's so much easier to see what I have and to mix and match. If you haven't tried it yet - go download the free trail and check it out. It really rocks!

I love Spring in Texas!

Yesterday we had the most beautiful weather! I was a chaperone on Jake's field trip to the woods! We spent the day hiking and learning about animals in the woods. The kids had a great time with the exception of the 45 minute hike (at the very END) of the day! We were on the lookout for a 'hidden pool' (probably a pond) and never found it. I think our guides were a little lost! The kids were troopers though.

It was such a nice day that after school we met the Spence's at Kids Kastle and they played in the park. One of Paige's friends from her pre-school class was there too so they all had a great time. Then it was off to Paige's soccer practice. A fun day, but tiring! Have to enjoy this beautiful Spring weather before that Texas heat comes!

Making it pretty

Ok, after making that page I decided I should update my very plain and ugly blog and re-vamped the page to make a heading for my blog. Fun! I've got to play around with the tools and personalize it a little more, but this will do for now!

Inspiration

Thanks to a digital scrapbook page swap I am re-inspired to start posting to this blog! I took some time and put together a layout about me that will be shared with other ex-TLC consultants to remember some of the great things we got out of our time with TLC. Here's what I came up with.

All elements are from KayMillerDesigns. Love her stuff!
